Services
Four trades. One standard.
Everything below comes with the same spine: honest prep, sharp lines, a clean site every evening, and the final walkthrough where you hold the tape. Prices shown are demonstration samples — a real quote comes from a real walkthrough.
Service 01 Interior
Interior painting
from $450 per room · sample price
Walls, ceilings, and everything they touch. We spend more time with spackle and sanding blocks than most painters spend on the whole job — because paint doesn’t hide problems, it frames them.
- Furniture moved, floors and fixtures covered before the first can opens
- Nail holes, dings, and hairline cracks patched and sanded flush
- Ceiling and trim lines cut by hand — no wavy tape lines
- Low-VOC paint as standard; rooms sleepable the same night
- Site broom-clean every evening — no brush soup in your sink
Service 02 Exterior
Exterior painting
from $4,800 whole home · sample price
Mountain weather is hard on paint — freeze-thaw, wet springs, strong western sun. An exterior that lasts here is 70% preparation, which is exactly where we refuse to rush.
- Pressure wash, scrape, and sand to sound surface — never paint over failure
- Bare wood spot-primed; caulk renewed at every seam and sill
- Two full finish coats, brushed and back-rolled — sprayed only where it belongs
- Gardens, decks, and rhododendrons tarped like they’re ours
- 5-year workmanship warranty on peeling and blistering (sample terms)
Service 03 Cabinets
Cabinet refinishing
from $3,200 typical kitchen · sample price
The highest-traffic paint in your house. Doors and drawers come off, get labeled, and are sprayed flat in our shop booth; boxes are done on-site behind masking film. The result reads factory, not painted.
- Degrease, scuff-sand, and bonding primer — the coats nobody sees, guaranteed anyway
- Sprayed catalyzed enamel — hard, wipeable, chip-resistant
- Doors rehung, aligned, and soft-close bumpers renewed
- Kitchen usable throughout — we stage so you’re never without a sink
- Typical kitchen: four working days (sample timeline)
Service 04 Trim & doors
Trim, doors & ceilings
from $85 per door · sample price
The five percent of surface area that carries half the impression. Yellowed oak trim, sticky doors, flat ceilings gone gray — this is precision brushwork, and it’s our favorite kind.
- Enamel that levels glass-smooth and won’t stick doors shut
- Crown, base, casings, banisters, built-ins, mantels
- Ceilings rolled in true dead-flat — no roller flashing at night
- Popcorn ceiling? We’ll tell you honestly whether to paint or remove
Service 05 Color
Color consultation
Free with any job · $150 standalone, credited if you book (sample)
The most expensive paint is the color you repaint. June brings the fan decks, the brushed-out boards, and fourteen years of knowing what Asheville light does to a north-facing gray at 4 PM.
- Real brushed-out samples on your walls — not peel-and-stick squares
- Sheen strategy room by room: flat, eggshell, satin, semi — where and why
- Written color schedule you keep — every wall, code, and sheen on one page
Fair questions
Asked on most walkthroughs.
Is the quote really firm? What if you find something?
The number June hands you is the number on the invoice. If we uncover genuine hidden damage — rot under a sill, plaster failure behind wallpaper — we stop, show you photos, and price the fix separately before touching it. The original scope never moves.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Every painter is a W-2 Whitlock employee, background-checked, and most have been with us over five years. The crew that starts your job finishes it.
How far out are you booked?
Interiors usually run three to four weeks out; exteriors book by season (April–October). One color consult and walkthrough now holds your slot — most clients pick colors while they wait.
Do we need to leave the house?
No. We contain each day’s work area, keep a walkable path, and leave the site broom-clean every evening. Low-VOC paints mean bedrooms are sleepable the night they’re painted.
Texted photos get numbers by 5 PM.
Send a few shots of the space and rough goals — June will text back a realistic range the same business day, and a firm quote after the walkthrough.
